Hello everyone. This is Nishioka from milestone.
The playlist "milestone sound library" is released at the end of each month, supported by Spotify. Looking at past works like this, #001 and #002 have a lot of classic hits, so it seems like there are a lot of listeners. Since there are more obscure songs, there must be more people who aren't interested.

This project, in which we decide on a concept each time and select our favorite songs to create a list, essentially becoming DJs and choosing songs that can be listened to as background music for your life's work, is now in its 10th installment.

This time, it's completely biased towards my own tastes, so I think people will either love it or hate it, lol. However, when talking about my musical journey, the concept of this time is "Japanese rap," which I cannot ignore.
Rap music, which originated in America, has finally reached Japanese living rooms. I myself have been involved in numerous Japanese rap songs for a long time. Fortunately, the songs I have participated in and produced are uploaded to Spotify, so I hope you will take a look at those as well.
When creating the playlist, I mixed new and old songs in the order I chose. The first track is "Paper Chase," a classic by KANDYTOWN, who disbanded this year. This song, which has also been used as a promotional ad for Reebok, has an impressive piano loop, and I vividly remember thinking "this is a sophisticated song" when I first heard it. Then, from GAGLE, I connect it all together in a sophisticated way with KID FRESINO, produced by JJJ and ANARCHY.

I'll be introducing "Shunami no Nami" (Waves of Shunami), which I'm not worthy of, but will also be featuring artists BASI, COSA, STUTS, JJJ, and others, including female rapper Awich, who is currently leading the Japanese hip-hop scene, half-American rapper MIYACHI, and the currently popular BAD HOP. If you're reading this blog and know Shunami, you've passed the Milestone Level 1 Certification Exam. You're quite an advanced player. Lol
"Let the waves of Shuha wash over you until dawn, let the Shuha sound wash over you until you grasp something!" The phrase that TERRY left behind while he was alive is still engraved in my heart. RIP TERRY THE AKI-06!
After that, I was influenced by JURASSIC 5 at the time, and I used sampling to chop up and assemble "SINCE 1995." "SUPERSTAR" is the title track of the 5th album by Infuaigumi, a group that still leads the Osaka hip-hop scene today. I also appear in the music video for this one.
Another classic song released around the time of 3/11 that must have lifted the spirits of many was "Ganbatareba..." by SHINGO★Nishinari, a food star from Osaka, and indeed Japan, and "MUZICATION" by legendary Osaka MCs MISTA OKI feat. GEBO, who I was asked to produce for the first time in a while this year. For us, the concept is a coined word that comes from the idea that music is a means of communication.
And then there's "Furusato" by HI-KING aka TAKASE, a work by the production team maruhiproject, which I formed with my partner KATSUO. It features Hiroshi from SKYLINE BAND on guitar and ANRY on backing vocals. Anyway, I've lined up some pretty obscure songs.
From there, there's MICROPHONE PAGER, ROMANCREW, FU-TEN, EVISBEATS, and more. It's a long list of Japanese classical music.
The final song is "White Eyes" by his close friend SHINGO★Nishinari. It's a poetry-reading song that doesn't quite fit into the category of "rap." The lines "Life doesn't always go well, but I won't give up. I've decided. When I take off my sunglasses, my eyes roll back" keep repeating in my head. His songs, with their strong messages and powerful words, always pierce the heart.
So, please look forward to the next work! Everyone, follow along! Lol. Have a good weekend! HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND!!
