Many people are probably familiar with the MADE IN JAPAN bag manufacturer "master-piece," but here's a little information for those who aren't.

Founded in 1994, master-piece is a bag brand that pursues products that combine fashion and functionality at a high level, with the aim of being used on a daily basis.

Master-piece products are carefully crafted in our own factory in Japan using original materials jointly developed with domestic and international suppliers, and the more you use them, the more you will discover their attention to detail.

My connection with master-piece dates back more than 10 years ago, before the milestone brand was even launched. It all started when a mutual photographer friend invited me to a master-piece exhibition.

I met designer Nagata there, and coincidentally he was a listener of the podcast I was appearing on as a semi-regular at the time, so he knew of my existence! (☜ This really surprised me, haha.) From there, we shared and understood the direction our respective brands were heading at events and dinners with friends, and then he approached me about this collaboration.

Based on a solid concept, "disaster prevention supplies," we created samples and, through trial and error, have now come up with a "ONE AND ONLY" collaborative model.

Persistence is power. And following the path you believe in. Doing so will connect you with many different people and give birth to interesting things. Milestone will continue to move forward with this stance.
