Over the weekend, we set up a booth and ran in the Katano Big Rock Trail, held in Katano City, Osaka Prefecture.

I started in group A and was making good progress when a runner in front of me came back and said he'd gotten lost... As I went back and forth, one after the other, the runners behind me also followed suit and ended up on the lost trail.

When I calmed down and looked at the map, I realized I was completely lost. Sweat. The blue arrows indicated the correct path. I was running carefully, thinking that there would be a long downhill stretch, but it seems I had overlooked the marker in the upper right.

It was a shame because we had been making good progress up until then. However, this was also our own fault. We pulled ourselves together and returned to the trail.

I just ran to make up for the lost time. *Photo by deco

In the end, I managed to complete the sub-3 time, but when I looked closely, I saw that there was no time written at CP2. (sob) I was DNF, meaning I was disqualified.

Here is the correct route.

It seems like I took a shortcut. Sweat. I guess a lot of runners missed this spot. I was a little too impatient.

After the run, I returned to the booth and got back into work mode. I made new friends and had the opportunity to talk to many people at the venue. Thank you for stopping by the milestone booth.

When I got home, my son gave me a wonderful surprise present! Son, I'm so happy. (laughs) But I'm not qualified. I'll do my best next year, so please come and support me! (laughs)
