Some of you may be wondering who Lucy is, so let me explain. Lucy Bartholomew is a professional athlete living in Australia. She is a trail runner and a top Salomon athlete.
So how did I meet her? Well, it happened at the UTMF held in April 2018. At the time, we had prepared five units, including a spare, for the two runners, Ryo Doi and Yuko Yada, who were running with the Trail Master prototype.
*The photo shows Doi, who finished 6th overall and at the same time as Ose, coming to our booth after the race.

Appearing at our booth was Arno, a German who is the official photographer for the UTWT "Ultra Trail World Tour." He spotted the Trail Master on display and approached me, saying things like, "It's a great headlight, but it could be improved in this way," and "How about this?" I told him it was just a prototype and gave him a spare Trail Master as a gift.
A few months later, a flurry of emails arrived from Mr. Arno.
"This is big news!" I said to Lucy, who broke the women's course record at the 2017 Ultra Trail Australia 100 , when I showed her the Trail Master. She said she loved it and wanted to wear it in the famous American race, the Western States 100 Mile , next month. "Can you get it ready?"
To be honest, I was reluctant to send a product that hadn't even been released to someone I'd never met, because it would be a disaster if the product had a defect.
It doesn't look like I'll be able to go to America due to my schedule.
When I told Mr. Arno about this, he said, "You can't get a chance like this! I'll send you the address of where she's staying in the US, so please make the arrangements right away!"
Then, I contacted her for the first time via email. She gave me a very friendly impression and I could sense that she liked the product.
The next day, I packed up the spare headlamp and battery and sent it to America with a letter saying Good Luck.
Despite it being his first 100-mile race, he finished in a respectable second place. The scene was featured many times by Salomon officials and others.

Wow! It's lit up perfectly!

A touching scene.

The quick dial system, which I want most to be visible, is peeling up lol.
Sorry for the long introduction. This is how I met Lucy.
After that, I contacted him many times but we never got to meet in person. But then, finally, my chance came.
To be continued.
