Yesterday (October 28th), I participated in a trail running race held in Hanase, Kyoto, not as a booth owner, but as a runner.

In the past, we have participated in test runs, mountain climbing, and events to develop headlamps for trail running.

I'm ashamed to say that I wasn't a runner. An acquaintance of mine encouraged me to participate, saying, "First, enter the race and finish it!"

There was an incredible sense of excitement right before the start. The countdown began and we all started at once.

The weather was fantastic and it was a great course. Apparently, Hanase is home to the longest tree in Japan, measuring a whopping 62 meters in length. We ran through it.

I was able to run while catching my breath and enjoying the scenery.

Then I saw the sign "Aid Station Coming Soon" and finally arrived at the aid station at about 10km point. The bananas and oranges were delicious.

I had volunteered at an aid station at Hasetsune last month, so this time I was able to get a feel for what it was like being a runner.

In the end, I came in 22nd out of 105 people, which was a decent result.

The award ceremony for the top athletes was over and the event was dismissed.

I decided to participate in the race before the end of the year, and my goal was to finish the race. Next year, I'd like to improve the distance rather than the time. Perhaps from 16km to 25km? I'd like to train further the year after next. Thank you to the organizers and volunteers for a great race. And to all the runners, thanks for your hard work.
