Next up is the European whirlwind tour - gourmet news.
(This has nothing to do with the outdoors. Sorry.)
As I walked around the area, all kinds of food tempted me...
Eating delicious food overseas is one of the joys of traveling.
When you think of the Netherlands, you think of herring, which is delicious at this time of year (June to July).
It's not something you get to eat often in Japan, but here you can find herring stands all over town.

The herring itself is delicious, but the sandwich is also great. The pickles that come with it are excellent.
I'm currently considering making it myself. It's really delicious.
The potato shop "FRITES ATELIER" in Den Haag was also absolutely delicious.
The potatoes are topped with grated cheese and lime and served with an original avocado sauce.
Bagel sandwiches are also good.

Plus, walking around the area makes you thirsty.

Quench your thirst with some local beer and take a short break.
Sometimes I crave something sweet, so I eat apple pie.

And the nights in Europe are long.
It's still light outside even at 10pm.

Just walk and look for a shop that is bustling with locals.
You can have a wonderful encounter here.
I was in the Netherlands for a few days.
When I was passing by a certain restaurant,
I found a small, bustling shop.
I'm sure this is a great restaurant.
I went into the restaurant alone and asked if there were any seats available, but was turned away because it was full.
No, I'd be fine sitting at the counter, I told them, but unfortunately they smiled and said they were fully booked and refused.
I absolutely wanted to eat here, so I made a reservation, but the next seat available for one person was three days later.
So I decided to make a reservation.
On the day, I was so excited that I arrived at the venue an hour before my 7pm reservation.
I had a little time, so I did some people-watching around the restaurant.
Some of you may already know,
The models featured in the Milestone catalogue are:
All locally sourced, and by ordinary people.
For a moment, I thought, "Ah!"
Someone who fits the image passes by.
I couldn't help but chase after him and call out to him.
And he responded willingly.
He attached the MS-C2 and we started shooting.
While taking photos, the conversation flows.
Me) Sorry for stopping you when you're busy. Him) It's no problem at all.
Me) Where were you going now?
He) to her place for dinner
Me) Really? I'll finish it soon then. Him) What about you?
Me) I have a reservation at that restaurant for 7pm, it seems to be a really popular place.
Him) Is that CAFE de KLEPEL by any chance?
Me) Ah, that's right. I was passing by the other day and it was really lively.
Him) That's my parents' store!
Me) Seriously?
Him) Yeah.
Me) What a coincidence. Him) And you're so lucky that you were able to get a reservation on a Saturday.
Me) Is it that popular?
He) It's always like this. I bet my parents would be surprised if I showed them this photo ??????
Me) Okay, I'll let you know if I find it. Him) I can't give you a discount though.
Me) No problem
This conversation took about three minutes, and then the shoot ended.
Later, I was able to meet his parents, and when I told his mother what had happened and showed her a photo of her son,
Mother) Oh That's My Baby!
My son was very happy when he saw the beautiful photos.
This photo will be featured in Milestone Catalog Vol.3 2016-2017, which is scheduled to be completed in September.
However, I would like all of you who read this blog to have a sneak peek at it, so here are some photos from that time.
He's a pretty nice guy...
By the way, the food at CAFE de KLEPEL looked like this and I think it was the most delicious thing we had on this whirlwind tour.

However, it is truly a joy to expand my circle of friends with various people overseas.
