Over the weekend, I participated in the 10th Ikoma Trail 2019, held in Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture.

Unfortunately, Typhoon No. 6 was approaching, and the rain was coming and going when we checked in.

The longest race of his life, 30K. His face was filled with anxiety and anticipation.

At the start. A tense moment.

I didn't have time to take photos, but I managed to get to the first aid station at the 8K point. The "lemon dipped in honey" was absolutely delicious.

And rain, rain, rain
As predicted, heavy rain started to fall, and I desperately tried to reach the finish line. From the last aid station, a man in his 60s led me, and we managed to reach the finish line safely while chatting.
This time we're not competing for speed, but rather our goal is to reach the finish line by covering a longer distance than last time.
I still have a long way to go before I can run long races (50K-70K), so I'd like to train a little more in middle races (30K) before moving on to the next step. I'm still a long way from being able to race using a headlamp lol

After the race, I took a detour and, since the ban on alcohol was lifted, I was able to soothe my tired body with a Kyoto IPA Matcha beer, which is rare.
