Cloud Hoody
When trail running or fastpacking in winter, you want to minimize the number of times you put on and take off your jacket, while still being able to move comfortably. "Active Insulation" is the garment that meets that need. We want you to experience the finest fabrics and patterns we have selected.
The hood has been designed to cover everything except the eyes, allowing it to be used like a balaclava. It also includes all the essential winter running features, including thumbholes, a watch window, and a double zipper.
☆Polartec Alpha® (active insulation that combines heat retention and breathability) is used as the main material, providing just the right amount of warmth and comfort without stuffiness, while grid fleece is used in areas such as the abdomen and wrists where you don't want to get cold, allowing for optimal material mapping for each part of the body.
When it's windy or you want to stay warm at your tent site, layering a shell over your outer layer creates a layer of air between your body and the outer layer, dramatically improving your cold weather protection. It also pairs extremely well with the Onion Hoody.
*The inside story behind the development of the Cloud Hoody: Tell us! Milestone "Shaping Clouds" Part 1 is available here , and Part 2 is available here.
*From Marvin Gaye's famous song Cloud Nine. The cumulonimbus clouds, named for the ninth cloud, reach extremely high altitudes, and the phrase is used to describe the exhilarating feeling of riding on one of those clouds. We have created a wonderful hoodie that will make you feel just like that when you wear it.
