We are in the middle of Golden Week, how are you all doing? Yoshida and I are spending the day with our friend Massan.

I went for a ride around the Ise-Shima Peninsula in Mie Prefecture.

Originally, I had planned to ride the Iseji Route (approximately 170km from Kumano Hongu to Ise Jingu) for three days and two nights, but unfortunately it rained on the first day.

We quickly changed to plan B and decided to take a relaxed two-day, one-night trip around Ise-Shima Bay. Here's what the itinerary for the first day went like:

While leisurely riding along a local route, I found the ferry terminal to Watakanoshima Island. There are only two ferry services per day, so I was about to give up when an extra ferry came along. I quickly headed to the rumored island.

The downtown area, which must have been bustling at the time, is now deserted, and the tourists are mostly fishermen and history buffs.

While exploring the island, I discovered a great gravel course and got excited.

The view was amazing, so I took the usual photo.

The Disney-style objects and Anpanman-style characters also seemed a little outdated, but I wonder what they were like back then?

Return to the main island and visit the lighthouse.

We ride along a pleasant cycling road.

And the process for the second day was like this:

As we drove along the coastline, we saw carp streamers swimming happily, as Children's Day was approaching.

This is cycling heaven!

On the way, we decided to take a boat to Kashikojima.

A huge object welcomes you! Your mouth will be filled with spiny lobster! This is the perfect lunch.

However, due to budget constraints, we indulged in the local food, "Tekone Sushi."

This was incredibly delicious. Highly recommended!
