[July Weekend Event Information: Futagami Spice]
Our weekend hours in July will be on Sunday, July 5th. On this day, we will be holding our annual pop-up event with Futagami Spice!

Mr. Kitani, the owner, continues to learn spice cuisine, primarily from South India. This year, he visited India again from February to March to study local cuisine.

This time, he will be preparing a special spice plate that deviates slightly from traditional South Indian cuisine.

Mr. Kitani chose "Spice" for his shop's name because he doesn't want to limit his cooking to just curry. With the idea of sharing the charm of spice dishes from around the world, he has offered dishes from various countries and regions.

This time, Mr. Kitani will present French home-style chicken fricassee as a spice dish. He will prepare a dish where the aroma of spices is layered on a base of duxelles sauce, which condenses the rich flavor of plenty of mushrooms. The chicken skin will be crisply grilled to order, offering a delightful aroma and texture.

And on the morning of this day, the Teradacho Jogging Club will also be held. Let's work up a sweat, build up an appetite, and then enjoy a delicious spice plate!

■About Futagami Spice
Run by Mr. Kitani, a trail runner who loves Mt. Futagami in Nara, this is a take-out specialized spice cuisine shop. They use local seasonal ingredients to create dishes that bring out the best in their flavors. Mr. Kitani also has authentic experience, having traveled to India to learn home cooking in South India. The shop is loved by locals and visitors from afar alike.
