The reason why I decided to make socks this time is...
Milestone sponsored the overseas trail running series "Asia Trail Master" for one year.
The organizers told me, "Our logo will be displayed at each race, so it would be good to support the athlete for PR purposes," and "There is a very good Japanese athlete living in Indonesia." His name is ASUKA NAKAJIMA. I was contacted by a top athlete in the series.
I'm sorry to say this, but she is an unknown player in Japan. At least, I didn't know of her existence.
After doing some research, I found out that he had a good track record in long races, so I contacted him via messenger and decided to support him.
When I met her for the first time when she returned to Japan, I learned that she was also receiving support from the sock manufacturer OLENO . She also told me that they were involved in the development of the socks, so I immediately ordered some and tried them out. I wore them over and over again in races and training. Unlike socks I had worn before, they didn't slip off, they didn't get stuffy, and they were great socks . I honestly wondered if we could create something together, so I asked for advice.
If we were to create a milestone sock, rather than a technical sock, we wanted to create a sock that could be used for trail running but had a great design and was positioned a little more casually. The sole has a mountain motif, LIGHTING YOUR WAY on the ankle, and "81" on the sole.

We made multiple prototypes and had our supporter, Yoichiro Sakurai (Saku-san), try them on, and they seemed to work well, so we decided to move forward with commercialization.

It was my first time making socks, so it was quite a challenge, but I learned a lot .
The packaging is made of the same kraft paper as the milestone headlamp to create a unified look. The concept is "viewing the mountains from the window."

I hope you will definitely check it out.
