Have you heard of the manufacturer "Nordisk" ? If you love camping and the outdoors, you're probably familiar with the polar bear icon on their cotton tents.

I first met Nordisk at the "GO OUT CAMP in Fumotobbara" event held in October 2015, seven years ago. That encounter was pure chance.

It was my second year since starting up my headlamp manufacturer, milestone, and I couldn't set up a booth on my own, so I rented space in the booth of clef, a company I'm friendly with, and displayed my products on a 1m square table.

Two foreigners who happened to drop by asked me seriously about the products.

Having studied abroad, I was eager to have an opportunity to speak English, and I remember talking a lot about the product's features (mainly using incandescent-colored LEDs) and the background of the milestone brand (it's a small family-run company, but the 3.5th generation of a lamp manufacturer that was founded over 100 years ago).

As we were talking passionately about manufacturing, a tall man said, "I'm also involved in manufacturing." "Have you heard of Nordisk tents?" I was surprised to learn that he was the person in charge of the factory. Next to him was Eric, the CEO of Nordisk, a tent manufacturer from Denmark.

After we had a passionate conversation about manufacturing, he bought me the battery-powered headlamp "MS-B2" (now updated to MS-B5) with a motion sensor function.

I vividly remember being overjoyed and excited that something like this could happen.

The second time we met was at the opening reception party for the shop "nordisk camp supply" in Kinuta, Tokyo. He was in Japan with his daughter at the time, and we toasted to our long-awaited reunion while munching on hot dogs!

And now, Eric, the CEO, has contacted Nordisk Japan and said, "There's been a request for a collaboration with Milestone!?"

When Nordisk Japan representative Washizaki visited Denmark, where the company is based, Eric told him, "I lost the headlamp, but I've kept the packaging carefully." ☜ I'm so happy.

Thanks to that, we were able to move forward with the discussions of this collaboration!

That was a rather long introduction, but let's get to the main topic.

With this collaboration in mind, we considered several models, but we decided to propose the MS-G1/300 lumens, which prioritizes simple operability over a headlamp packed with complex functions when used for camping.

• Environmentally friendly rechargeable model (eco) that does not require battery replacement

• Ultra-lightweight, compact model (28g) that can be easily used by children and women

Olive color that appeals to men

Milestone recommends a warm white headlamp (its soft, warm light is popular for camping)

• 2-way design that can be used as a lantern inside a tent by attaching the included clip

It comes with a Nordisk-specific case that can store not only the headlamp but also a smartphone and other small items.

The truly "ONE AND ONLY" Nordisk x Milestone collaboration model has been born! We hope you will get your hands on one.
