When I travel, I try to get up early. It has been said that the early bird catches the worm, but sometimes I feel that this is true. The Santa Monica Pier is crowded with fishermen from early in the morning.

They cut the fish they caught into fillets and used them as bait to catch mackerel. It was early in the morning, so it felt like they were catching a lot of mackerel.

Speaking of Santa Monica Pier, it's the end of Route 66, a famous road that runs east-west across the United States. I didn't know that it ended here.

As an aside, this place is apparently a divine spot where rare characters from the famous game "Pokemon GO" appear, and it was a strange sight to see everyone staring at their cell phones from early in the morning.

Santa Monica is a picturesque town.

It was a city I wanted to visit again. Then we moved to Salt Lake City. No one knew that an incident would occur here. To be continued
