Suddenly, while Doi was taking a break, the area around him became noisy. It was the legendary Kaburagi. There seemed to be more than 10 people there, including his family, as well as crew from NHK and the NEVER Project.

I believe Kaburagi and Doi belong to the same team, "Team 100 Miles." Kaburagi is a senior, so to speak, and perhaps even a mentor.

Seeing Doi looking down due to poor health

Kaburagi: "What's wrong? Diarrhea? Surely diarrhea is fine?" ** Apparently this later became a somewhat famous anecdote within the trail running industry. Sweat.
