You may have heard of the name Sho Fujimaki in the world of trail running. He is a photographer active not only in Japan but also overseas. It was a hot day in July when I received a message from him. He was in the Kansai region at the time, and asked if it was okay for him to come to the office.

Actually, I had a meeting scheduled at a designer's studio that day, but I received an offer from Sho Fujimaki.

I decided to delay my meeting with the designer a little, but he arrived within an hour and was joined by Mr. Chiba from Grannote , an online media company.

Grannote had previously provided photos for Doi's articles , but this was the first time we had met Chiba.

After exchanging greetings, he asked me, "Can I do a little interview with you?" It was a sudden interview offer. I had no reason to refuse. I'd be happy to! I replied without hesitation, and Fujimaki Sho started taking photos.

While the interview was taking place, he took pictures quickly and easily.

On the day, staff member Yoshida was absent due to an urgent matter, so it looked like he was working alone in the office!

Even so, Sho-kun's photos always have a certain charm.

Although I am a photographer myself, I can say with a little humility that professionals are truly exceptional. They are especially adept at capturing light.

These are the photos that Sho-kun took.

Moreover, I am truly happy that they are free to use it. I will use it as a memorial portrait. Lol. I would be happy if Sho-kun's solo exhibition could be held in this space someday. Actually, I really hope that it will happen. It depends on the timing for both of us, so I will make another announcement when the time comes.

He talks candidly about all sorts of things related to milestone, so I think it's worth reading. Grannote's article can be found here .
