Since meeting him, I have become good friends with him and he has always inspired me! He is someone I respect as a man, a father, a runner, and as a person.


I work for a headlamp manufacturer, but I've also always loved photography, so I've been able to cover him closely.

Actually, the first trail running race I participated in was the UTMF in 2018.

For those who don't know, UTMF is Japan's largest trail running race, a 100-mile race (about 168km). The inventor of this headlamp, "Trail Master," was running with me wearing a prototype, so I frantically followed him (by car) without knowing left from right. Having no knowledge of the area, I frantically followed him while looking at a map, and took a picture at the aid station.


The result of the race was an emotional scene in which both Ose and I finished in 6th place.



I vividly remember taking pictures of my first race, shivering with excitement and wiping away tears as I watched the incredible turn of events.

After all, they will be riding with the products we make installed.



We also followed him closely in the 2019 edition of "F" and the UTMB, commonly known as "B," the world's top trail running race that runs through Mont Blanc in France.



I was also invited to participate in the Hong Kong 4 Trails Ultra Challenge, commonly known as "HK4TUC," but was unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts.

However, I felt a strong desire to be involved in some way, so I tried to interview him and when I asked him about it, he gladly agreed.

I take photos, but I'm not good at videography. I'm not good at detailed settings. As expected, the audio was recorded in mono. It was also my first time editing, but I managed to make it work.

I couldn't attend HK4TUC this time, so I was shown photos of the race before the interview and was impressed by how beautiful they were.



We quickly created a slideshow on the spot and played it on the monitor behind us to create an atmosphere.
☆At this point, I haven't received permission from the photographer☆

After the interviews were completed, I contacted @violashum and @photoguava photographers based in Hong Kong who had the original photos, and explained my concept and feelings to them.


They both agreed and sent me the original images. What's more, they responded very quickly, which made me really happy.

With the help of many people, we were able to create an independently produced video!

I'd also like to express my deepest gratitude to @sotafurugen aka NOAH, who, despite being extremely busy, helped me with the audio issues and created the background music.
